Council Meets
- The Shenandoah Valley TB Communications Council met in Culpeper on Wednesday at the Lord Culpeper Hotel. The Council membership is comprised of ten executives who work for tuberculosis associations in four teen counties in this area. They meet periodically to organize and plan for educational information to be made available to the public through television, radio and newspaper media in the area. The cost to purchase special films, records and tapes is prorated among the associations involved. Speaking to the group in Culpeper were Mr. John Rogers, manager of Radio Station WCVA of Culpeper and Mr. Walter Potter, editor of the Culpeper Star Exponent, whose newspaper is to be issued daily very shortly, rather than on a weekly basis. Both of the speakers discussed what they considered news, what people were interested in, how they wished to receive releases and answered innumerable questions about the operation of their particular news service.
