Afternoon and evening guests were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kite of Culpeper Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dealand daughter Carol of Peola Mills, Mrs. Garnett Pierce, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sparks, Miss Geraline Dean and Delma Coates of Boston. Mrs. Robert Hawkins and son Bobby of Washington, D. C. were Wednesday callers of J. B. Burke. Mr. and Mrs. Virginus Weaver and son Douglas spent the week-end in Alexandria where they visited Mrs. Weaver’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Johnson and sister and brother-in-law Mr. and. Mrs. Stanley Valentine. While visiting in the Valentine home, they helped celebrate the 4th birthday of Steven Valentine.
Mr. and Mrs. John Jenkins visited their son John, Jr. at Blue Ridge Sanitarium on Sunday. Mrs. Jenkins'father Fred Jenkins was transferred to South Western Sanitarium in Marion on January 8th.
J. B. Burke returned home*> from Culpeper Memorial Hospital on January 2. He is still in a cast but can get around on crutches.
Woodville WMU
The W.M.U. of the Woodville Baptist Church held its regular meeting at the home of Mrs. R. M. Johnson on Wednesday evening, Jan. 16.
The program and business session were conducted by the president, Mrs. James Falls, after which delicious refreshments were served to the five members present.
At the same time the R.A.’s met in the parsonage basement with six members present under the direction of the pastor, the Reverend B. Gale Titchenell.
