Proposed Ordinance For
The Town of Washington, Va.
An Ordinance To Provide for the Levy and Assessment
by the Town Council of Washington, Virginia, of
a License Tax on Motor Vehicles and Punishment
for Failure To Comply with Same.
At the regular meeting of the Town Council of Washington, Virginia, held at the County Court House on January 8, 1963. at Washington, Virginia, the following motion was duly passed:
Upon motion of Mrs. Bertha Armel, seconded by Mrs. Virginia G. Miller and unanimously passed by recorded vote at the regular meeting of said Town Council held on the 8th day of January, 1963, the aforesaid proposed Motor Vehicle License Tax Ordinance was introduced for adoption hereafter at the next regular meeting of the Council, to be held on February 12, 1963, commencing at 8:00 P.M. at the County Courthouse in the Town of Washington, Virginia, at which time and place a public hearing will be held in order that citizens may appear and be heard in support of or in opposition to adoption of the proposed ordinance. And publication of this motion, together with a summary of said Ordinance a-s hereinabove prescribed and directed, shall constitute due and legal notice to the public •of the Council’s intention to consider the aforesaid proposed ordinance for adoption at said regular meeting to be held February 12, 1963, as hereinabove stated.
