A new Federal Law requires all payers of interest to make a report to the Internal Revenue Service of all persons to whom ten dollars or more is paid during a calendar year. This report must include the depositor’s name, address, Social Security Number or identification number, as well as the amount paid.
It will be most helpful if depositors will furnish us with their Social Security Number, giving the exact name as shown on the Social Security Card. Do not send us your Social Security Card.
To depositors who do not have a Social Security Number, we will be glad to be of any assistance that we can in securing a number for them. All persons, regardless of age, will need a Social Security Number if they receive as much as ten dollars per year as interest on their account.

W. R. Stradley as of January 1 became associated with the Geest Funeral Home of Culpeper as an embalmer and director. Having lived in the area for eleven years, he says it’s a grand feeling to be back among people, most of whom, he knew so well. During the time he operated the ReaguerStradley and then the Stradley Funeral Home. The late A. J. Slaughter was the Rappahannock representative of the Stradley Funeral Home.
Mr. and Mrs. Stradley will reside at 205 South Main St., Culpeper, Eleanor, their oldest daughter, is married to Nelson B. Turner of Louisa and with their two children, lives in Richmond. Reeves (“Bunny”), the other daughter, lives with her parents in Charlottesville where she is asssociated with Citizens Bank & Trust Co. Mrs. Stradley will arrive in Culpeper some time in February
