aiso nave pieasam recollections of a trip she and I took to Aiken, South Carolina. It was in the long ago days when people were first opening their homes to tourists. In ,the northern part of the state for the munificent sum of a dollar and a half apiece, we obtained a large, comfortable room with breakfast served by a solicitous white-coated waiter. My mother-in-law in the meantime had made friends and exchang-' ed ideas and experiences with our hosts. We left with not only their warm wishes for our return, but with a huge bag of paper-shell pecans packed from under their trees.
Yes, I derive pleasure and I hope profit by remembering the zest and wisdom “Cousin Callie” approached and embraced every experience in her long and useful life.

Funeral services for Joseph,, William Keyser, former resident of Rappahannock County who died Tuesday, January 15, in Front Royal were held on Thursday, Jan. 17 in Front Royal. The service was conducted by the Rev. C. T. Boyd at the Maddox Funeral Home with interment at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were J. E. Keyser, Jr., John D. Keyser, Judge Rayner V. Snead, Dr. John P\ Snead, Jr., R. L. Keyser, Jr., and Jack L. Russell.
