Preparation and plans continue at a rapid pace as the Washington Fire Company gets ready for Its four-night carnival to be held June 26, 27, 28 and 29. The carnival will be held on the lot between the Lake Motel and the Old Mill Snack Bar. More entries are arriving each day for the mammouth parade on Friday evening, June 28 and the' old Brockway truck, about 1914 model, owned by the local fire comjpany Is being readied for ■vp'articipation. Another Drum and Bugle Corps has been added tq the parade. The Kinghts of Erin from Winchester will participate but will not be In costume for they must leave Immediately for another engagement. The Virginia Lancers had previously accepted invitation to the parade. After the equipment demonstration Thursday evening, a “Hootenany" is scheduled, with "The Counts" of Luray supplying the string music. Also the Jaguars of Warrenton will furnish Rock , and Roll music with their popular 5 piece combo. At a meeting of the fire company Monday night plans Were made for a supervisor to see to the building of stands and volunteer helpers
