Saturday evening guests of the Leas included Mr. and Mrs. J.Newbill Miller, Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. James Massie and Mr. and Mrs. Wade H. Massie, III. Mr. and Mrs. George Haymaker of Front Royal were Sunday dinner guests of Miss Lottie Burton. Miss Barbara Jones,Mrs. Edward Jones and Miss Linda Jones entertained at a cook-out supper Sunday for Judge and Mrs. B.M.Miller Curtis Absher, who was a week-end guest of the Millers, and Col. and Mrs.E.A. McNear. Col. and Mrs. E. A. McNear spent last week at their home Greenwood. Next week they take up residence at Vint Hill Farms Station near Warrenton where Colonel McNear will be the Commanding Officer. Recent guest of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Giles was Mrs. Syble MacKenzle recently returned from Beirutt, Lebanon, where she was employed by the State Department. In September Mrs. MacKenzle will go to Jordan in a similar position. Miss Eleanor Jenkins of Richmond was a weekend guest in the Giles home. Mr. and Mrs. Quentin McCoy of Alexandria were in town Friday to attend the graduation of Mrs. McCoy’s sister Miss Alice Wood from Rappahannock County High School.
