Virginia egg prices may change day-to -day before they are established in an expected steady increase. Normally May is the peck supply month for eggs. Prices follow the supply and Kdttfn^rvJ picture .and. prices have dropped to what is expected to be a seasonal low. The replacement hatch in the first four months of this year was 2 per cent less than a year earlier, and it is now expected that chickens raised for egg laying flocks will be about the same as last year. With a normal increase in rate of lay we should have a few more eggs than last year. However, it is not expected to change the price picture as population will also be greater than last year. Prices last week in Virginia were: grade A large 27-29 cents; medium .21 to 23; small 17-18. In New York large were 29-32 and medium were 22-25 cents.
