Rummage Sale in Flint Hill
The Ladles Auxiliary to Flint Hill Fire Co. will hold a rummage sale Saturday, October 12 on the porch of Bradford’s Store, Flint Hill. The sale will begin at 1 o’clock and continue through 5 p.m.
Amissville Firemen Sponsor Shooting Match
There will be a shooting match on Saturday, Oct. 19, 1963 at Amissville Carnival grounds beginning at 1 p.m. Prizes will consist of hams, turkeys, and fruit cakes. 12, 16 and 20 gauge guns may be used. The Amissville Fire Company is sponsoring the shooting match.
Dr. Hall Speaks at
Republican Dinner Meeting
Dr. Thomas Hall of Shenandoah, Va. was speaker at a dinner meeting of Rappahannock Republicans held Friday, October 4 at Amissville Fire Hall. He is the Republican candidate for the State Senate from the ,23rd District, opposing incumbent Hon. George S. Aldhizer.
In his address Dr. Hall stated that if he is elected to the State Senate, he will keep the people informed, help elect others who want constitutional government, separation of church and state, free enterprise system, thrift in government and state sovereignty.
