Virginia: In The Circuit Court of .Rappahannock County.

This day appeared in open court the membership of the Rappahannock County Bar Association and requested permission to present the following resolution as to the death of James Minor Settle, late Clerk of this Court: “WHEREAS, James Minor Settle served the County of Rappahannock, State of Virginia, as Clerk of this Court from September 1, 1922, until his resignation and retirement on December 31, 1962, and WHEREAS, he was a devoted public servant and belqved by all members of the Rappahannock County Bar Association and lawyers throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia for his sincerity and devotion to duty, and WHEREAS, this Association wishes to record its sense of respect and grief on the occasion of the death of James Minor Settle. NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby unanimously resolved that the Rappahannock County Bar Association expresses its deepest sympathy to the family of James Minor Settle and records a sense of loss because of his death.* Thereupon, the Rappahannock Bar Association petitioned the Court to record this resolution among the permaent records. Upon Consideration Whereof, it is accordingly Adjudged and Ordered that a copy of this resolution be filed among the permanent records of this Court and recorded in the Common Law Order Book in the Clerk’s Office. The Clerk of this Court is directed to deliver a copy of this Order to the widow of the late beloved Clerk.
