Thomas H. Utz

Thoniais Herbert l)tz of H a y - market, retired merchant and postmaster of Estes, died Sunday October 6, 1963 at the Veterans Hospital in Martinsburg, W. Va., following an illness of two mo,nths. Son of the late Williams James Utz and Lucy Margaret Grihisley, his wife, and a native of Rappahannock County, he was 68. He is' survived by his wife, Mrs. Ressie G. Whorton Utz; five sons, Thomas Menefee of Laurel Mills, Marion David of Washington, D.C., Donald Randolph of the U.S. Navy, Harold Ray of Haymarket and William Carson Utz of Haymarket; four daughters, Mrs Presley, Pullen of Craigsville, Mrs. Frank B. Whorton of Centreville, Mrs. Joel Grizzle of Manassas, and Miss Glenna Margaret Utz of Haymarket; and one brother, William Utz of Front Royal. A funeral service was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Forest Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. John B. Hodge officiating and interment was in the church cemetery. Geest Funeral Parlors handled arrangements.
