Prosecutor Hackley, anticipating such testimony, demanded immediate trial on the merits and withdrew his motion that the criminal be committed to the State Mental Hospital for observation. By this legal maneuver, the Luray Prosecutor saved the county and state several hundred dollars.
School Bu* Driver Retires After 23 Years Service
Mr. Edmond Martin of Viewtown has retired after driving a Rappahannock County school bus for 23 years. In expression of their appreciation to Mr. Martin for his tireless service, the parents and children on his bus route entertained at a party Friday evening in his honor, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Eastham, Red Hill Farm near Amissville. In all of his years of driving Mr. Martin has never had an accident. The group presented him with a transistor radio, a token of remembrance.
