Lee Swindler who underwent surgery recently at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville is reported to be making favorable progress toward recovery and is expected to return to his home this week. Mrs. Perle Coffey spent Sunday with her brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Rector near Marshall.

Mrs. John Eubank, Jr., Mrs F.D.Coffey and their mother Mrs. Robert Nethers of Flint Hill were shopping in Front Royal Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Oden of Sharpsburg, Md. were guests Sunday of Mrs.Oden’s sister Mrs. David Anderson. Mr. and Mrs. Harry L.Smith Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Gossom and children of Falls Church were guests Sunday of George W. Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Fred W.Schaefer and Freddie spent the week-end in Laurel, Md.with their son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Jacobs. Miss Susan Schaefer spent the week-end with Miss Lillian Reeve.
