Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Ireland attended the Board of Directors meeting of the State Foxhunters Association held at the Holly House. This was the first meeting in which Mr. Ireland presided as president. Mrs. Ireland was elected Secretary and Treasurer of the Associa. tion. Week-end guests of the C. J. Irelands were Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Shives of Bumpass and J. C. Causey, Jr., J. C. Causey III and Mrs. B. H. Brown, all of Suffolk. Mr. and Mrs. Everson Bennett and son Eddie spent several days last week as the, guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Burke. Mrs. Harry E. Dwyer return ed home January 18th after spending eighteen days at Culpeper Memorial Hospital following surgery. Mrs. Betty Jane Baker returned home on Friday after surgery and a five day stay at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
