Rug Making School*
Will Be Held
Plans are now being made for rug making schools to be held for the ladles of Rappahannock County. If enough ladles are Interested, the E* tension Service will offer a one day school on braided rugs, and a one day school on hooked rugs. Miss Catherine Peery, Extension Rural Arts Specialist will come to teach the classes The only expense to the ladies will be their own supplies with which to work. The school will be held sometime during the last week of February, depending on the d a t e 8 Miss Peery can give us. The place will be decided upon late as we receive replies from interested persons. Any persons interested in either school are asked to contact, Harriet Goode, home demonstration agent, at the Court House. She will then send you the list of supplies to have on hand, along with further information regarding date and place. Reports On Smoking
The report on smoking by the Surgeon General’s Committee is of great concern to the Tuberculosis and Health Association of Northern Virginia as it has been distributing information over the past several years, warning against heavy cigarette smoking habits.
