Exam Time! The student^ were granted a reprieve when it snowed a few days ago. Exams were supposed to have started on Saturday the 18. Thank goodness it snowed! Now they will start on Wednesday the 22 and end on the following Friday. The college Entrance Exam! nations’ scores were returned a few days ago to those Seniors who took them. The exams were taken early last December.
The Basketball team and cheerleaders have really been traveling. Since January 7 we have played at Clark County, Central, Elkton and at Warren County. The Culpeper home game -wa^ missed because of illness of the coach. The games have been very excit ing, especially that spectacular flying tackle made by one of our players! The Yearbook Staff is working steadily on the layouts for our •Rappsody”. The Editor, Segar Jones, Assistant Editor Virginia Bradford, Business Manager, Dana Snead, Assist ant Business Manager, Susan Schaefer,, Chief Photographer Linda Rowzie’and our sponsor Mrs. Marshall all gather at her house and go to work on Saturday mornings. The work is coming along fine.
Under VA regulations requiring pensioners to report their income each year, if the information is not received by Jan. 31, the VA is required to cut off the pension. In addition, it is possible that the entire pension received In 1963 may have to be paid back. Those pensioners who are In the group who have not .returned the income cards would do well to fill them out and return them without further delay. Once discontinued,' even though later reinstated, there is always interruption in the orderly flow of pension checks, sometimes occasion for real hardship. For experienced help take your questionnaire to any representative of the Virginia Division of War Veterans Claims. Edward M. Mathews, of the Front Royal Office of the Division of War Veterans' Claims, is in Washington at the Clerk's Office on 1st and 3rd Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and will gladly give more details on this subject or any other matter connected with veterans’ affairs.
