Dr. Rupert W. Quaintance, Sn retired physician of Slate Mills, died early Monday morning, January 20, 1964 in the Culpeper Memorial Hospital at the age of 87. The son of Dr. and Mrs. Oscar Ringold Quaintance of Slate Mills he was the son, brother and father of doctors. In his more than sixty years in the practice of medicine he had the record of deliyer ing 10,000 babies. Twenty years ago he returned to his family hom£ at Slate Mills, after practicing in West Va. and resumed his practice in Culpeper, Rappahannock and Madison counties.
