james McKinley Jackson, 21 year-old WarrentonNegro, died in Fauquier County Hospital early Monday morning of gun shot wounds inflicted by his father earlier in the night. The father, Robert McKinley Jackson,44, also of Warrenton, was charged Monday evening with carrying a 1 concealed weapon and wii murder of his son. The shooting occurred at ■ Bel Air Restaurant, operated by Mrs. A. T. Hall in Amissville, between 8 and 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, according to authorities. There were about 70 people in the colored section of the restaurant when a fight began and as it grew worse, Robert Jackson took his 32 revolver and fired one shot into the floor, according to his statement, trying to stop the melee. Some one hit his arm when the second shot was fired and the bullet struck James Jackson in the side, passing through his abdomen and lodged in the other side.
