Avoid using permanent starch on garments to be dried in the dryer. The plastic base of the starch will coat the dryer cylinder. Save yourself extra time and trouble in laundering by sorting and checking clothes for spots before washing. Pretreat soiled and spotted areas before putting them into the washer. You can save time in ironing and also cut down on the amount of electricity used by the way you stack your sprinkled clothes in the bag. In the bottom of the bag place the garments wh|ph will require the highest heat - your linens and cottons. After that place the wash and wear and synthetic articles which require the lower ironing settings. Then as you iron these items the iron will be warming up for the hotter items. You won't have to wait while the iron heats up or cools down enough to iron certain items. Around The County
I had the privilege of receiving much valuable informa tion regarding outdoor recrea tion facilities at the Outdoor Recreation Symposium last week. They provided us with booklets and leaflets on the various phases of management advertising, erecting and receiving aid in such facilities. Anyone desiring to look at this material, may do so by coming to the county agent's office. 4-H Clubs will be busy during the next few weeks preparing for thei^ annual 4-H Club Supper. This year the supper will be held on March 14th at the Rappahannock High School cafeteria from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend. Tickets are $1.25 for adults and .75 for children under 12 years.
