Mrs. Robert Tutt Hume
A funeral service was held Tuesday for Mrs. Dolly Carter Wayland Hume, 72, wife of Robert' Tutt Hume of Woodville* who died Sunday, February 16, 1964 at the home of her daughter Mrs. Dorothy W. Doyle, near Culpeper. The service was held in the Geest funeral chapel by the Rev. John S. Farrar with interment in the Episcopal cemetery at Woodville.
She was born in Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late Scott Carter and Emma Grimsley Carter. Her first husband was the late Luther A. Wayland. A former resident of Woodville, Mrs. Hume had made her home with Mrs. Doyle for the past five years due to declining health. She was a mem. ber of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
Besides her husband and daughter, Mrs. Doyle, s^ie is survived by two sons, Lester A. Wayland of Culpeper and Chester T. Wayland of Woodville; two other daughters, Mrs. Elsie W. Eaheart of Manassas and Mrs. Annie W. Poe of Lorton; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Clarence C. Hume of Culpeper and one brother Richard A. Carter of Washington, D. C.
Mrs. J. E. Dodson
Mrs. Sarah Josephine Dodson of Culpeper, widow of John Elliott Dodson, died Sunday, February 16, 1964, at the residence of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George Hoffman, near Culpeper, where she had made her home for a number of years. She was 87. Mrs. Dodson was a native of Rappahannock, daughter of the late Elliott Jenkins and Elizabeth Jenkins. Surviving are four sons, Richard Dodson of
