Joseph Reid of New York City was a guest from Friday until Monday of his mother, Mrs. C. G. Reid at Rose Cottage. Mr. Reid’s architectural office has been transferred to Washington, D. C. and he expects to move his family there in the late summer. Mrs. T. C. Lea, Jr. was called to Staunton last week by the death of her grandmother, Mrs. Me Le Hand Smith. Mrs. Jesse L. Ward of Echo Hill Farm was the dinner guest Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell at Twinland. Mrs. T. C. Lea har joined her sister, Mrs. D. J. Thompson and family of Lynchburg for a weeks stay at Windy Hill near Myrtle Beach, S. C. Mr. and Mrs. H. Magruder Keyser and two sons Scott and Joe of Fairfax were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Keyser. Miss Annie Cooksey is spend ing several days this week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Corbin in Front Royal. Lt. Henry C. Gore of Fredericksburg visited E. B. Cary and other friends in the county on Saturday while staying at his home in Harris Hollow. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Paulson are expected this weekend &t the home of Mrs. Paulson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell, enroute to their home in Newport News after attending the celebration of Mr. Paulson’s parents' golden wedding anniversary in Minneapolis, Minn. Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Jr. and daughter. Cattle left Thursday for a two week’s visit with her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Edward Buxton in Springfield. Mr. and Mrs. William M. Carrlgan of Washington, D. C. were at their home Avon Hall for the weekend. : Mr. and Mrs. Quenton McCoy bf Arlington were visitors Sat urday of Mrs. F. Downing Wood and family at Sunny Side. Mrs. Oscar Lindgren and three children Ann Charlotte, Ann Caroline and Carl returned to Their home at Jessamine Hill Farm Friday after a visit of several days In Georgia and Florida, accompanying Mr. and Mrs. John Williams and family of Amissville.
