Rabies Ordinance
Proposed for County
A proposed rabies ordinance for the county of Rappahannock was discussed at the August meeting of the Board of supervisors here. Dr. L. O. Fears of the county Health Department and Commonwealth's Attorney were present for the discussion. The subject was tabled until a later data. Col. Gilbert Cosden resigned as Civil Defense County Radio< logical officer. Col. and Mrs. Cosden who lived in Sperryville have moved to Marathon, Fla. to make their home. Sheriff C. K. Estes was given permission by the Board to tear down an old building behind the jail which was not used. Other routine business consisted of paying bills for the county. D. S. Butler, Resident Engineer, reported that work on Route 707 had been completed. A. H. Buckner and H. B. Wood requested an appointment with Mr. Butler concerning county roads in their districts.
