2 cups TRIPLETT’S enriched self-rising corn meal cup finely chopped onion 1 egg, beaten 1% to 2 cups boiling water Fat for deep frying . Combine corn meal and onion. Stir in 1% cups water, mixing until we] blended. Stir in egg. Add more water, if necessary, to make a thick batter. Drop by rounded table, spoonsful into deep hot fat (365*F.) and fry until golden brown, 3 to 4 minutes, turning once. Drain on absarbent paper. Serve hot. Makes 2 dozen hushpuppies. Total preparation time: 45 minutes.
