Cslpeper Hospital
Continued from page 1 home until they moved to Madi son County. Mr. Armstrong was founder and owner of the National Fruit Product Company.
This i ts the third sizeable contribution the Armstrong Foundation has made to Culpeper Memorial Hospital. E. Jackson Eggborn, President of the Hospital Corporation, stated the donation would be used to purchase three acres of land adjacent to the rear of the hospital and now owned by the Meadowbrook Corporation. Mr. Eggobrn pointed out that even through the Hospital Corporation owns sufficient land in front of the building, the boundary line in the rear of the hospital would prevent future expansion of the hospital in that direction. With the County plans to build a new elementary school adjacent to the hospital and the rapid building of new homes in the hospital area, Mr. Eggborn contin ued, “It is most important that the Hospital Corporation acquire the three areas adjacent to its present east boundary line."
