James M. Settle, 53-yearold AmiS8ville farmer died • Wednesday, August 19 in Wasf ren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal. He was born In Rappahannock County, a son of Mrs. Lizzie Elliott Settle of Washington, Va. and the late Robert Settle. Besides his mother he is Survived by a brother, William E. (Ned) Settle and a sister, Mrs. Mary Virginia Settle, both of Washington. A funeral service was held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the chapel of the Maddox Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. James B. Grimmer with interment in the Masonic Cemetery in Washington, Va. 'I Pallbearers were Luther gPayne, Lucian Rector, Dabney Eastham, Clarence Grigsby, -Frank Parker and Wade H. J Massey, III.

James R. Estes
r James Russell Estes, 34, of ; Rlxeyville died August 18, £1964 near Warrenton. He was a "son of Esmus C. Estes, Rixey ville and the late Mrs. Estes. Besides his father survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Norman H. Smith of Hyattsville, Md., Mrs. Harold Carraway, Portsmouth and Mrs. Harry Comer of Rlxeyville; three brothers, Carson Lee Estes and Archie Thomas Estes, both of Rlxeyville, and Phillip Garland Estes, Culpeper.
A funeral service was held Friday at 3 p.m. from Geest Funeral Chapel, Culpeper with interment in the family cemetery near Hazel River. The Rev. James Harrison, pastor of Amissville Methodist Church of which Mr. Estes was a member, officiated. Pallbearers were Albert Settle, Robert James, Braxton James, Jake Compton, Humph ries Settle, Elzie Compton, Billy Settle and Roy Hitt.

lames Marshall Wayland ot Front Royal died August 12, 1964. He was a son of John E Wayland and Lorena Browr Wayland, and was born ir Culpeper County in 1898. He is survived by his wife, the former Virginia Gore; a son Russell of Cumberland, Md. and a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Ann Clarke of Alexandria; and three grandchildren. He was the brother of J. Earl Wayland, Sperryvlllc and Clare Pauze, Woodvllle, and Mrs. Margaret Bilz of Seattle, Wash. A funeral service was held August 14 at 4:30p.m. from the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lawrence Matthews officiating. Interment was in Pros pect Hill Cemetery, Front RoyaL Pallbearers were Julian, Jimmy, Larry, Billy, G. D. and Richard Wayland, all nephews of Mr. Wayland.
