Recent guests of Miss Mamie Johnson were Mrs. Carson Johnson and her mother, Mrs. Luther Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Smoot of Washington, Mr, and Mrs. Edward Clatterbuck and daughter, Jane, Mr. and Mrs. John M. Partlow and family of Arlington. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lester L. Yates were Mrs. Harvey Daily, Elder and Mrs. W. T. Daily, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brubaker of Luray Mrs. Helen Brown Bruce of Gainesville spent the weekend at Barlow with her brotherin-law and sister Mr. and Mrs ' E. W. Gore. Overnight guests on Wednesday of Mrs. J. Harvey Daily were Elder and Mrs. T. J. Jefferson, Bakersfield, Calif. JMr. and Mrs. Austin Tipton of Hollister, Calif. Friday guests were Mrs. Dudley Martin, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cooksey of Manassas, Mrs. C. B. Scott and Mr. and Mrs. Ray T. Owen of Palmetto, Fla. Donnie Dodson who is employed in Arlington was an overnight guest Saturday of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Dodson. Mrs. Catherine Brown had as her guests for the weekend her son-in-law and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Payne and Miss Shirley Brown of Arlington.

Mrs. Perle Coffey, Mrs. F. D, Coffey and Mrs. Catherine Brown were shopping in Culpeper Saturday. On Saturday night Mrs. Coffey, her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Coffey, Frank Coffey and David Anderson, Jr attended the races in Charles Town. Mr. and Mrs. David Chapman .Jr. of Richmond were weekend guests of Mr. Chapman’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chapman. Miss Carolyn Brown and Mike Brown of Arlington spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Brown. Mrs. George W. Hawkins accompanied by Mrs. B. M. Varner, Mrs. V. M. Lewis and Miss Ruth Menefee were shopping in Culpeper Friday and returned by Slate Mills where they enjoyed a picnic lunch at the Hawkins’ farm. Mr. and Mrs. William Emanuel of Bloomer, Wis., have returned to their home after visiting their daughter, Mrs. Nora Groover. Mrs. Groover will move Friday to her new home in Culpeper. r- -gg—
