During the holidays part of the Washington area High School Collection on Religious Heritage will be on exhibit at Rappahannock Library. The exhibition will be open on Wednesday and Saturday of Christmas week, and for special groups on other days on request. Four years ago The American Council on Religious Art, a National Society, sponsored an annual exhibition of religious art by Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D. C. H. S. art students. The purpose was to stimulate a greater interest and appreciation of religious art among our young people; also to provide greater recognition and motivation for those students work ing in religious theme; and to foster the use of this art in homes, schools, and institutions. Three very successful exhibition hav6 been shown in downtown business houses. The Kiwanis Clubs provide annual awards of savings bonds, and a trophy to the school doing the best work. Each year the Judges select the best works to go into a permanent mobile Collection for loan to schools, churches, galleries, libraries, andclub^ Part of this collection was loaned by the American Couhr cil to our library for the holidays.
