Each year, more than 7,000 people lose their lives in explosions. And many of these tragedies result from the careless lighting of a match, the National Board of Fire Under writers reports. If you suspect gas leakage in your house, check to see that all jets are off and call your gas company immediately. Don’t strike a match to look for a gas leak!

Attend Cantata,

A cantata, “Night of Miracles", was presented Sunday evening at Grace Baptist Church, Arlington, under the direction of Mrs. Warren Wilbur. Rev. Warren Wilbur is pastor of the church. Mrs. Sally Fincham of Arlington is a member of the chancel choir. The Wilburs and Mrs. Fincham are former residents of Rappahannock County. Attending the cantata were Mrs. Sarah Latham and Misses Nancy and Susan Latham of Amissville, Mr. Fincham, Mr. and Mrs. Davis Burke and daughters and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Peyton, all of Arlington, formerly of Rappahannock.
