Mrs. Harry Lee Smith ente* tained the Washington Bridge Club and additional guests Thursday evening at her home Spring House Farm. Her guests included Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Sr., Mrs. Wade H. Massie, Jr., Mrs. Henry M. Keyser, Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Jr., Mrs. L. J. Turner, Mrs. T. C. Lea., Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr., Mrs. D. D. Miller Mrs. C. B. Palmer, Mrs. F. W. Spalding, Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr., and Mrs. T. L. Eastham. Prizes were awarded to the first four named.
Dr. and Mrs. C. F. Melton and daughter Laura Fleming of Herndon were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carson Johnson. Dr. Melton conducted services on Sunday at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church. Mr. Henis Quasebarth and children Susan, Janie and Tommy of Charlottesville were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Pillar in Broad Run. On Monday Mrs. W. W. Cloe, Jr. was a guest of the Pillars. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gordon Payne of Lafayette, Ind. arrived Monday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J, B. Johnson. Luther Woodward of Fishersville is a guest of Mrs. Ethel Tyer and Miss Nellie Atkins.
