Graded Angus
Bull Sales
Leesburg and Verona will be the scene of the first two graded Angus bull sales managed by the Virginia Angus Association according to a news release from the Virginia Angus Association headquarters in Charlottesville this week.
Each sale will feature some 40 bulls to be weighed and graded the morning of the sale which are to take place March 2 in Leesburg at the 4-H Fairgrounds and in Verona fcqn M#rch 4 at the-Verona
'Pavilion. ;
A. L. *Ike" Eller, head of the Virginia Beef Cattle Improvement Association, will be on hand to assist in weighing and grading of the mostly two-year-old bulls to be sold. The bulls will be graded by a committee of three made up of a commercial breeder, a representative of the Virginia Department of Agricultural Grading Service, and a representative of V.P.I.
These sales will afford Angus breeders in surrounding areas the opportunity to buy outstanding graded Angus bulls of breeding age. Anyone desiring catalogs or additional information on these sales should contact the Virginia Angus Association, Box 196, Charlottesville.
