Leave a little space between the units of a border design. This makes hemming and trimming easier. Take advantage of work-saving 'automatic'pleating tapesj they also make it possible to wash and press draperies flat; When applying contrasting trim, match the top thread to the trim, the bobbin to the drapery. Use a fairly loose tension because thread shrinks slightly. Let draperies hang in place on their rods for a few days before finishing their bottom hems, "fhen 'hang“ the hems as you would a dress. For a neater look and longer wear, launder draperies often so soil doesn’t get a chance to sink into the fibers. If needed, iron before the fabric has fully dr led--but only enough to smooth it out. Then re-hang the draperies while still slightly damp, stretch the seams and edges with your fingers, and let them finish drying on the rods.

The following are some pointers for a veteran to remember to be released from liability when selling his GI home: 1. The purchaser need not be a veteran, but must agree to assume the veteran’s liability. 2. The loan must be current. 3. The purchaser must meet VA credit requirements. 4. Release is not completed until all forms are executed by the veteran, the purchaser and the VA. 5. Release from liability does not restore the veteran’s entitlement to another GI loaa To have entitlement restored the loan must be paid in full. 6. The only charge made by the VA is the cost of a credit report. All legal fees in the release must be paid by the veteran or the purchaser. Edward M.
