; Light rains over the weekend thwarted efforts of the Castleton community in their annual firemen’s carnival which was held July 7 - 10. The fashion Saturday night was rain hats, newspapers, umbrellas and paper towels for headdress as spasmodic showers thinned the crowd. However , an estimated gross receipt of-$3,000 is reported, and the residents and firemen expressed appreciation to all who assisted in attending, con tributing work, prizes, food or help in any manner. .
