Safety Week Set
Accident prevention is a local, state, and nationwide pro blem. Each year the President proclaims a certain week as National Farm Safety Week which draws attention to the accident s i t u a t i o n and pro motes intensive, year-round accident prevention programs in communities everywhere. This year President Johnson has procalimed July 2531, as National Farm Safety Week. It is sponsored jointly by the National Safety Council and the U. S. Department of Agriculture. It is endorsed by your Virginia Rural Safety Council and leading farm organizations.
Accidents can be prevented Most need not happen. Nobody benefits from accidents. But we all benefit when good accident prevention programs are put to work to attack the problem. Accident reduction is your gain, your c o mmunity’s gain.
