The gay music of the merrygo-round, the aroma of coffee ! and hamburgers, and excited i shrieks from the roller coast-1 er announced to all Wednes* I day that it is carnival time < again in Sperryville. The Spe r r y v i 1 le firemen ] opened their annual four-night ' carnival last night and it will ' continue through Saturday night, featuring the best selection of rides ever, a great variety of games, amusements and refreshments. A mamouth parade will be held tonight, (Thursday) beginning promptly at 7 p.m. The Honor Guard from Vint Hill Farms will lead the parade and the line up consists of bands, floats, fire and rescue squad equipment honorary fire chiets, marcning units and majorettes. Following the parade a chicken and ham plate supper will be sold on the grounds. In addition hot dogs, hamburgers* pie, , cake and drinks will be available.

Amissville Methodists To Hold Bible School

Vacation Bible School will be held at Amissville Methodist Church next week, beginning Monday, July 19 and continuing through Friday, June 23. Classes are from 9 a.m. until 12 noon each day. Children from 3 years to junior high are invited to attend the school A commencement e x e r c i s e will be held Friday night, followed by a social hour with refreshments served.
