a two-car collision occurred Sunday, July 11 at2:20p.m.on Jordon’s Hill, Route 211 near Amissville. Several people were injured though none seriously.
According to Trooper W. A. Buntin, a 1961 Mercury Comet operated by Paul Douglas Jar rell of Montgomery, W. Va. skidded on wet pavement on a curve and sideswiped a 64 Olds mobile. Operator of the Olds was Joseph Everage Cor nett of Andrews Air Base, Washington, D.C. Injured in the collision were Mrs. Katherine Cornett, who sustained injuries of the right leg and side; Catherine.Cornett, 15, injured left arm; Jacob Konderwicz of Ludlow, Mass., a passenger In the Cor nett car, who had a leg injury. Pauld D. Jarrell sustained lacerations of the head. The first three named were taken to Fauquier Hospital, Warrerr ton by Amissville Rescue Squad. Damage to the two vehicles was estimated at $1,300, said Mr. Buntin.

Festus Jenkins
A grand jury Monday failed to indict Robert Festus Jenkins in th^jslaying of Fred William Jenklhs which occurred June 16. Fred Jenkins was shot while picking cherries in a tree on the farm of Mrs. C. R. Hite, Sperryville, where both men were employed. He died the following day.
