Drivers Test Will
Be Rebroadcast
The highly successful “National Drivers’ Test* will be rebroadcast on the CBS television network Monday, August 30, 10 - 11 p. m., EDT, and a completely new version of the test will be broadcast in May of 1966, it was announced by Fred W. Friendly, president of CBS News. Both the rebroadcast and the 1966 edition will be sponsored by Shell Oil Company. Shell was the sponsor of the first edition of “The National Drivers’ Test,* which in its broadcast of May 24 was seen in more than 18,000,000 homes and was number one in the Nielsen Top Ten in its May II report.
j The National Safety Council, ! which cooperated in the production and promotion of the !first show, will repeat its i role in the rebroadcast and | the 1966 edition. “The National Drivers’ Test* is a cornerstone of the Safety Council’s driver improvement program, other facets of which are the NSC’s advertising council campaign for driver improvement and its driver improvement courses across the country.
