Mrs. Gilbert Weakley, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gallihugh and daughter Susan and Mrs. John Revercomb of Culpeper enjoyed a picnic dinner with the C. C. Riddles, the Nelson Revercombs, and the Clyde Revercombs on Sunday at the home of the C. C. Riddles. Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Mitchell had as their dinner guests on Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Carpenter and children of Culpeper. Afternoon callers in the Mitchell home were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Raper and houseguests Mrs. Sidney Davis of Elizabeth City, N. C. and Mr. and Mrs. Claude H. Kirkland of Virginia Beach. Mrs. O. G. Mitchell entered University of Virginia hospital on Monday for observation.
George Deal underwent surgery Friday in the University of Virginia Hospital where he is visited daily by members of his family. Those visiting him on Friday were Mrs. George Deal, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Deal, Mrs. Billy Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Deal. Sunday visitors of Mr. Deal were Mrs. George Deal, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Deal and son Gary, Harry Deal, Mrs. Henry Sisk and Mrs. Milton Sisk. Miss Sue Many and Bob Deal visited Miss Mildred Many and Bill Mantz in Washington, D. C. over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Billy Campbell and Mr. and Mrs. Steve Locker of Annandale spent last weekend at Bay Ridge Beach, Md. Sunday night supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Deal and Mr. and Mrs. Billy Campbell were Mr. and Mrs. Terry Davis and children of Flint Hill. Miss Candy Berry and little brother Jim have returned home after spending several weeks with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jones.
