Massie was appointed to serve as Chairman of Reception and Refreshments to take the place of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Wade Mas sie. III of happy memory, and who had served so well up to her final illness. The Board established a Memorial Book for her which will soon be placed in the Library. The chairman reviewed the work of the last two years, both in relation to the development of the facilities at the Library, e.i., the extensive new shelving for the more than three thousand books,the furnishings, the powder-room facility - not yet complete, and the land-scaping with boxwood. As for the program, he said, we should be quite proud of the various projects offered to the people of the County.
