Mr. and Mrs. Frank Louckes of 4920 N. Washington Blvd.. Arlington, announce the recent marriage of their daughter Dorothy Adrienne to Mr. Robert David Kent Short, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Short of 4818 20th Place N., Arlington.
The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. George H. Yount at the First Presbyterian Church in Arlington and was followed by a reception in the church social hall. Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride was gowned in silk organza over taffeta with flowered lace inserts at the neck, on the front of the skirt and on the wide chapel length train, bong sleeves of organza ended in a point at the wrists. She wore a single strand of cultured pearls, a wedding gift of the bridegroom. She carried a cascade bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath with a white orchid center. Bridesmaids were Miss Mildred Wells of Arlington, Miss Patricia Bowers of Charles Town, W. Va., and Mrs. William Hariowe of Charlottesville, Va. They wore gowns in empire style with aqua bodices and white floor length skirts. Their head pieces of aqua flower* held short illusion veils. They carried cascade bouquets of yellow daisies.
