During me iuui wcck.s uie Army will provide pay, food, living accommodations andun* forms for the cadets. The Army also arranges for tran& poration here and the return to the cadet’s homes. In addition to attending classes in military subjects the women will participate in inspections, parades, company duties and field exercises. They will view a munitions demonstration here at the u.S. Chemical School and Center. A memorable experience for Cadet Latham will be a 3-day trip to the Infantry Center, Fort Benning, Ga., where, she will see the training that rangers, paratroopers and infantrymen receive. After graduation of the College Junior Class on 6 August, Cadet Latham will return to Berea College, Berea, Ky,, to complete her senior year. She may then choose to apply for a commission as a second lieu tenant in the Women's Army Corps, although she is under no obligation to do so. Cadet Latham is one of 120 college women from 37 states and the District of Columbia representing 75 colleges and universities.
