Realized net farm income in 1965' will likely total almost $13.5 billion, the highest level since 1953, Secretary of Agriculture Orville K, Freeman has told the Senate Agr iculture Committee, H. S. Barksdale, Chairman, Agricultural Stabilization andC on s e r v a t ion County Committee, said today. The Secretary said the new level will be $1.8 billion more than in 1960 and is $900 million more than in 1964. Prices of farm products aver aged about 10 percent higher in June than they did a year ago. especially for beef, pork, broilers, feed grains, tobacco, soybeans, potatoes and vegetables.
Cash receipts from the sale of farm products in the first half of this year some $700 million more than in the same period in 1964, Secretary Freeman said.
