Ceramics Class

Holds Final Meet

The final meeting of the ceramics class sponsored by the Arts and Crafts Project was held Tuesday at the home of the Tom Pillars near Sperryville. Mr. Carter, the instructor of this class, which has met every week since the last of May, will be returning to his home in Maryland. Such tremendous interest and enthusiasm was aroused that many of the ladies plan to continue on this project and at least one of them plans to buy a kiln and become a serious potter. Everything fijCjm the recognition of suitable clays through the various techniques for shaping objects through the processes of glazing, firing and reducing to give different colors has been studied. The members of this class wish to express publicly their appreciation to Mr. Carter for his instruction which he offered without charge.

Revival Scheduled

At Slate Mills

A revival at Slate Mills Baptist Church will begin Sunday, August 8 with the 11 a. m. service. The Rev. David L. Bailey, Sr., Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Norton, will preach the services for the Revival. Evening services for the week start at 8 p. m. and continue through Friday, August 13. The Rev. Dott Bryan, pastor of the Church, cordially invites everyone to attend.
