and they will be eligible for price-support loans. Special small farm benefits are included in the program. A producer with a feed grain base of 25 acres or less may divert all of his acreage and receive diversion payments on all his acreage. On the first 20 percent diversion, these farmers will be eligible for a payment at a rate of 20 percent of the county support rate applied to the diverted acres on the basis of projected yields. On additional diversion, the rate will be at 50 percent of the county support rate. Small farmers who divert less than the maximum will be eligible for pricesupport payments and loans. Higher rates and yields used in the 1966 program will provide smaller farmers, particularly those who divert the maximum acreage, a higher payment than under last year's program. Mayo C. Berry, ASC Committee Chairman, stated that individual feed grain producers will be notified of their base, yield and rate per acre prior to the sign-up period that will be held early in 1966.
