This Christmas you can give to charity without spending a cent. Sound impossible? Well, it isn’t. There is a charity called New Eyes for the Needy, Inc. located in Short Hills, N. J. which DOES NOT want your money. All it wants are your discarded eyeglasses., antique and costume jewelry and bits of scrap precious metal. For 33 years this unique charity has been working to improve the vision of the needy the world over. Over half a million people have been helped. . .without ever asking for a penny. Here is a charity everyone can help, at Christmas and all through the year. New Eyes is a volunteer, non-profit organization which provides eyeglasses for those in the United States who cannot afford them. With the nationwide help of countless individuals and service organizations it collects discarded eyeglasses, jewelry and pieces of precious metal. Each year some 752,000 carefully wrapped pairs of glasses and hundreds of pounds of jewelry find their way to New Eyes from every corner of the country.

What happens to the eyeglasses you give? Each pair| is unwrapped, sorted and processed by volunteer help. There are 250 people who work hard each week to keep New Eyes going. . .and all are volunteers. The eyeglasses made of gold and silver are
