As I passed along Mt. Salem Avenue last week, I stopped a minute to welcome Dr. and Mrs. John Peyton Snead IV as residents of the Town. They were in the process of moving from Sperryville to the house formerly occupied by Judge Lea and his family. They were lugging boxes and cartons while the movers unloaded the furniture. I did not pause long for I didn’t want to interfere with their work, and then too, I was afraid I would end up with a job.
At Mrs. R. V. Snead’s request recently, I went to her home to take pictures of a Nativity scene using her young est children and some live farm animals in them. Well, all was not calm, but the production certainly had its bright spots. We arranged the scene in the barn and among the impediments encountered were the lambs squeezing through the pen and running away; plus one of the goats had an appetite for my camera bag and strap and found Lib’s shawl quite tasty too (now I believe goats eat all the things I’ve always heard they do).I told Lois we would make a better recording than picture.

We had about an inch of snow Monday night and am sure the operators of Skyline Sky Club! were disheartened w,hen it
stopped and then melted quicS^ ] ly the following day. One of our readers was disappointed also that the snow melted, but for a different reason. She said it was such a shame for the snowi to go for it so beautifully covered all the junk an(l trash thrown on the roadsides and strung over the county.
