Mrs. Frances Louise Brownton, 86, died December 16, 1965 in a Manassas nursing home. She was a retired government employee.
A native of Rappahannock, she was the daughter of John J. Reid and Lucy Penn Rodes. She has no immediate family. Mrs. Frances C. Jones of Richmond is a niece, and Julian L. Brown of Culpeper, Harold G. Brown, Winchester J. Rodes Brown, Sperryville and Robert L. Brown of Woodville are nephews. A graveside funeral service was held Saturday at the Wood ville Cemetery with the Rev. John H. Jordan officiating. Pallbearers were Thomas C. Hand, James W. Fletcher, H. B. Wood, Jr., Emory Conners and Harold G. Brown, Jr.
David W. Kendrick
David Way Kendrick, 64 of Front Royal died December 21, 1965 in Warren Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late William Jackson Kendrick and Annie Bush Kendrick and a native of Warren County. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Frank W. Spalding of Flint Hill and three nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held today, Thursday, at 2 p.m. in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Front Royal with the Rev. G. C. Bentley officiating.
Pallbearers will be Judge Elliott Marshall, William C. Armstrong, Frank Compton, Tom Trimble, David Rappaport and Howard McFall.
