Pursuant to the provisions of a certain deed of trust, executed by Robert Edward Beckwith and Rachael Beckwith, his wife, to R. V. Snead, Trustee, dated and recorded March 12, 1952, in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, Virginia, in Deed Book 57, at page 369, et seq., to secure the payment of a debt therein described, default having been made in the payment of said debt and at the request of the legal holders thereof (the debt and obligations secured by said deed of trust having been declared by the holder to be due and payable), the undersigned, James W. Fletcher, (who was substituted in the place and stead of R. V. Snead, Trustee, the said R. V. Snead having resigned and refused to act as evidenced by his resignation, dated October 14, 1966, and recorded November 16, 1965, in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, Virginia, in Deed Book 85, at page 89) having been requested to act by the holder of said obligation, will offer for sale at public auction, to the highest bidder, at the front door of the Court House of the Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, Washington, Virginia, on Saturday, January 8, 1966, at 9 a.m. (EST) the following described property, to-wit: “• • all the following described tract or parcel of land together with building and improvements thereon and privileges and appurtenances therewith connected, situate, lying and being in Hampton Magisterial District, Rappahannock County, Virginia, about three-fourths of a mile southwest of the Town of Washington, Virginia, with the following metes and bounds:
‘Beginning at a stake 7 in the said Moffett line corner to lot
no. 4, thence with said Moffett line N 67-Vi W 2.07 chains
to a stake 9 corner to lot no. 6 thence with its line north
5.32 chains to a stake 10 in said road line, thence with said
road line N 76 50’ E 1.70 chains to figure 8 a stake corner
to lot no. 4, thence with said lot’s line S 2 E 6.50 chains to
the beginning, containing one acre and being lot no. 5 in a
survey made by A. W. Utterback on file in the papers in
Chancery Cause of Carter v. Pettie’s Adm’r. filed in the
Circuit Court of Rappahannock County, Virginia.’
This being the same and identical land acquired by said Edward Beckwith and Rachael Beckwith from Lewis Williams by deed dated March 5, 1943, and recorded March 6, 1943, in the aforesaid Clerk’s Office in Deed Book 44, at page 263.
Reference is hereby made to the aforesaid deed for a more complete and accurate description of the tract or parcel of land herein described.
