Assembly in 1964 and 1966 -- expected to total $10,629,584 for secondary roads in the coming year -- is distributed on a long-range needs basis for general improvements to the vast secondary system. In addition, federal aid and the required state matching funds -- totaling$8,791,976 — are distributed on the basis of area, population and road mileage. The secondary system receives 33 per cent of all net road funds exclusive of federal interstate grants and of revenue provided by the 1966 General Assembly. Special Meet

Special meeting of Arts and Crafts Committee at Cab Inn, Sperryville on Tuesday, April 26. More than a dozen county women interested ingathering or sharing ideas on crochet, knitting, and sewing gift ideas met at Cab Inn on Tuesday, April 26. Dozens of patterns for aprons, crochet edgings and articles, knit articles such as stoles, caps, mittens, doll clothes, pull-overs, toys, etc, and sewed towels, pot holders, spool holders, etc. were displayed and copied. Most of the women who'attended are skilled in one i or more of these crafts and rrtiake such things as a hobby fbut might occasionally have some for sale. It is the purpose of the Arts and Crafts Committee to encourage the cxiftfi because it is a deeply rewarding leisure time activity and a means of self-expression. But in addition the crafts can also become a source of additional inc.ome and the ^om mittee’s aim is to help spch women find a markqt in local shops.
