James W. Coates, Chairman of the Rappahannock USD A County Defense Board said today that a plan to carry out the defense responsibilities assigned by the President to the United States Department of Agriculture is now complete. This plan is designed to assist the citizens of this county, state and nation in surviving an attack and recovering from the disaster. The assignments made to the United States Department of Agriculture, Mr. Coates said, are closely related to the dayto-day activities of each of the several agencies' representatives making up the board’s membership as related to credit, statistics, marketing, food, rural fire defense education, etc. These defense assignments are to be given equal priority with regular program responsibilities in the county.
