State 4-H Short Course will be held June 27th - July 2nd. Rappahannock’8 quota is one boy and one girl plus county and district contest winners.

Senior 4-H Camp will be held at Jamestown June 15th - 19th. Registration date is June 1st at your county Extension office. Classes will include: Forestry Appreciation, Home Grounds Beautification, Your Leadership Role, Top-Notch 4-H Activities, Song and Game Leadership, Outdoor Survival at Fort Eustis, College Life, Tips for Teens, Outdoor Cookery, Photography, Archery and IFY Reports. Activities include: Get Acquainted Party, Swimming, Sports, Creative Handcrafts, Vespers, Moonlight Cruise on the James, Watermelon Feast, Campfire and Talent. The purposes: To develop Junior Leadership and HAVE FUN. The cost, only $13.50 for a full week of food, fun and development.

Tri-County Camp (Rappahannock, Frederick and Warren) will be held the first week in August at Fort Valley Organizational Camp in Shenandoah County. Details will be announced later.

Sperryville Ladies Delegates to DAR

Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr. and Mrs. R. E. Thompsen, both oF Sperryville were delegates to the National DAR Convention held last week in Washington, D. C. The convention commemorated the 200th anniversary- Of the founding Of the DAR.
